Also known as Arrecife Airport, Lanzarote Airport (ACE) is Spain's eighth-busiest airport, with annual passenger figures of over five and a half million. Lanzarote is a popular holiday destination and consequently there is a great demand for accommodation on the island. Fortunately, the island has a solid hotel infrastructure and while there are not actually any hotels located onsite at the airport, there are a great many within driving distance and scattered across the island.

The Occidental Grand Teguise Playa Hotel Lanzarote is a 15-minute drive from the airport and is particularly popular, containing a business centre and offering a variety of facilities.

Lanzarote: City Hotels and Accommodation
Hotels can be found all over Lanzarote, although there are a number of notable resorts, towns and villages where accommodation is most plentiful. These include the following areas of the island.
Arrecife
Lanzarote's bustling capital, the town of Arrecife is always busy and is known for is natural harbour, with many hotels located nearby and providing appealing coastal views. Accommodation is also close to the Castillo de San José, which dominates much of this area. Other highlights in Arrecife include many impressive museums and galleries, such as the Lanzarote Museum of Contemporary Art, together with a host of shops and restaurants. Further hotels and lodging can be found in the nearby San Bartolomé area.
Costa Teguise and Teguise
Situated on the north-eastern side of Arrecife, the Teguise area is one of Lanzarote's most popular coastal resorts and thrives on tourism. As you would expect, many notable accommodation options can be found in this historic port town, including a range of high-rise beachfront hotels. Those looking for history will find a number of old monasteries and eye-catching landmarks, particularly around the Plaza de Constitución.
Northern Towns
The main resorts and hotels on the northern side of Lanzarote can be found in and around Arrieta, Guatiza, Malpais de la Corona and Tahiche. Highlights here include a range of natural attractions, together with the acclaimed César Manrique Foundation. This part of Lanzarote is also home to a range of charming fishing villages, where rural accommodation is at its best.
North-western Towns
The north-western region of Lanzarote contains many superb tourist attractions, together with a number of appealing towns and reasonably priced hotels. Many people choose to stay in this part of Lanzarote to experience the views from the Mirador Del Rio, or to visit Guinate Tropical Park, which offers a range of nearby accommodation. Those looking for rugged and natural beaches should be sure to visit the Famara, an enchanting seaside hamlet.
Inland and Western Coast
These areas of Lanzarote tend not to be as developed as the island's buzzing coastal resorts. Inland hotels have the advantage of nearby scenic countryside, where many superb wineries and vineyards have been established.
Southern Towns
Home to some of Lanzarote's most outstanding resorts and areas devoted to tourism, the southern towns contain a number of stunning beach resorts and stretches of golden sand. Hotels are plentiful around the Puerto del Carmen area, being clustered along the Avenida Playas, together with numerous restaurants, shops, clubs and a range of other accommodation options, including self-catering apartments. Water sports, boat trips and sunbathing are amongst the main draw cards in this part of Lanzarote, together with a number of scenic harbours and secluded coves.
